Carbon EDGE – Broken Hill

Carbon EDGE is a new two-day training program for the red meat industry, providing participants with an understanding of the opportunities for emissions reduction and carbon storage activities in a livestock grazing business.

As a participant you will use your own information to develop an action plan for your business as you learn about the practices and technologies that could reduce your carbon footprint and improve sustainability and productivity.

What will you learn?

  • key terminology and concepts relating to greenhouse gases (GHG) within the red meat industry
  • in-depth information on the practices to reduce and sequester GHG within a livestock grazing business
  • weigh up opportunities and risks associated with generating carbon credits and how they can be used to benefit livestock businesses
  • understand carbon neutrality and how it aligns to your business goals
  • develop a carbon action plan that incorporates practical, achievable strategies to meet your objectives.

The EDGEnetwork is managed by MLA and delivered by experienced service providers to provide research-based independent information for red meat producers. Through a network of Carbon EDGE deliverers, workshops will be delivered across Australia.

No charge for changing participants within the same business. Every effort will be made to fill cancellation vacancies before a refund is made.
Cancellations must be received in writing by email.
Full refund if cancelled more than 28 days from the workshop start date.
50% refund if cancelled 14-28 days from workshop start date.
No refund if cancelled within 14 days from workshop start date.
